Whether looking for a fast pace exciting career choice, or just something too supplement your income, a career in restaurants is a good choice for you. Most restaurants offer competitive pay with ongoing room for advancement. At the same time lends itself to those needy schedules that are only able to work part time.
Any restaurant owner will tell you, Proper grooming is a must. Depending on the theme and dcor of the restaurant will determine your dress code. Keep in mind however general hygiene can be the difference between a good and bad tip. For the ladies keep your hair back in a pony tail while serving, customers want a salad with ranch, not a salad with your hair. Wash and press your clothes, looking professional says a lot about you and your establishment, if you find yourself in a predicament that you dont have a clean outfit, keep a default outfit ready. A safe bet would be that any restaurant will be ok with you showing up in an oxford white button down shirt and black dress pants. Remember your appearance is the first impression, and you only get one chance to make a first impression.
While serving food or drinks its important that you are democratic. Keep in mind that not everybody will be pleasant and no two people tip the same. Staying positive under any circumstance is any good servers secret weapon to making good money in a restaurant job. Every successful server will tell you the best fix for a kitchen error or a drink mistake is a timely resolution with true concern while maintaining a positive attitude. Always remember rule 2 of thermodynamics from chaos comes order. Some of the best regulars and best tips come from bad situations that you are able to salvage. Keeping your cool in these high stress situations will separate you from the other servers, this will quickly become noticed by your management, co workers, kitchen staff and most importantly your customers.
Serving tables or bartending can be therapeutic. Escape into the establishment you work for. Leaving all your problems at the door can make coming to work fun and exciting. Set goals for yourself when you come in, financial goals always help in focusing on what you need to do from minute to minute. For example pre-bussing or sticking to the rule hands in, hands out. Which means always carry things back to kitchen when headed that way, also carry things from the kitchen back out.

Be In the NOW, Not In the DOW

Understandably, people everywhere are feeling that the old paradigm has let them down. They worked hard for years and years in order to create some security for their senior years and for their children and now they see it melting away. They are losing their jobs, their homes, their pensions and savings. They feel angry and betrayed about the American Dream having been shown to be just that - a dream.
Is this how you are feeling? I don’t blame you. You are entitled to be angry and, as usual, I encourage you to feel it. There is no doubt that the future looks very bleak for many of us. That is, unless we begin to see it differently. How?
Well, how about putting a new paradigm to the test? After all, what better time than now to try embracing the possibility that you can attract money to you through the Law of Attraction using the technology of Radical Manifestation?
In previous articles I have said that you can either stay transfixed by the apparent reality of the situation and remain a victim of it, or you can see it differently and rise above it using Radical Forgiveness. Well, now that it’s come down to issues of everyday financial survival, you have a similar choice. You can either struggle with whatever financial misfortune strikes, if it should happen, and do the best you can in the circumstances, or you can once again rise above it by shifting your belief system.
The easiest and most immediate way to do this is by using the tools of Radical Manifestation. If you spend some time using these tools you can either avert a financial crisis that might otherwise be in the making, or get yourself out of one if it has already happened. These tools are so powerful in themselves; you don’t even have to believe in the idea that you can attract abundance simply through activating the Law of Attraction. They work in spite of you.
I argued in my book, Radical Manifestation, The Fine Art of Creating the Life You Want, that money has no inherent value. It only has value if it represents something of actual worth that people can and want to buy. Banks around the world have just woken up to this fact and they have been utterly humbled by the experience. Investors who bought instruments of debt from these banks have also just realized that there was no real value attached to them, and they are livid about it. So much for the old paradigm!
I also argue that money is energy. Since energy doesn’t die, we could argue that there is just as much energy (money) in the system today as there was a few weeks ago. I mean real money, not the funny money the ‘too-clever by-half’ boys on Wall Street concocted with their computers in the giant Ponzi scheme that fooled the world and has just unraveled like a sweater made of overcooked spaghetti. No, I mean money that represents something of actual value.
That money is still there, in the system somewhere just sloshing around with nowhere to go. No one quite knows what to do with it at the moment, that’s all. So perhaps we don’t really have a crisis, except in our minds. The money just needs to be moved around the system in a different way now, that’s all. But not by conventional means, by which I mean taking us into recession and creating the necessary balance that way. No, my argument is that if money is just energy, then let’s use an energetically-based system like Radical Manifestation to move it where it needs to go. The best way to move money in your direction is to use the energy of mind to attract it to you. Like attracts like.
It’s like electricity running through a wire. It moves only when there is a difference in polarity between the two ends of the wire. One end is positive and the other is negative. Electrons are negatively charged so they are attracted to the negative pole and repelled from the positive pole. That immediately puts them in motion, moving in accordance with the Law of Attraction. Using that analogy we can say that if money is simply the manifestation of Universal Energy, it too will move towards that which attracts it. Why not let it be YOU?
My advice then, as far as surviving and prospering through what looks like being a major breakdown worldwide (perfect, of course, in the spiritual sense as explained last month) is to continue using the tools of Radical Forgiveness to stay out of the blame game and going to Victimland, PLUS making good use of the tools of Radical Manifestation to bring you all that you need. Remember the formula:
Radical Forgiveness + Radical Manifestation = Radical Empowerment.

Besides the obvious reasons, one of the main reasons that so many people want to work from home is that working at home requires a very low investment, if any investment at all. You certainly can’t say that about starting a business offline, now can you? It doesn’t matter what you do online, how you make money, how you want to make money or what your selling, if you want to sell, you need to market yourself and your product. Now by definition the phrase niche refers to “a special area of demand for a product or service”.
‘Marketing’ is defined as: “the opportunity to buy or sell”. So, when you put these two phrases together you come up with niche marketing which means buying or selling a product or service in a special area of demand.
One of the main things you should consider when selling a product, is obtaining a website its one of the most organized, quickest, easiest ways to advertise what your selling. Make sure you put a FAQ section on the website as well, this will save you a lot of time with those thousand question customers. Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely to talk to customers, but sometimes you get the feeling they all joined the same club and decided to all ask the same questions just to see how patient you could remain!
This is why on my FAQ page I listed 20 questions and answers, these are the same questions I was asked thousands of times! Save time, time is money, and wasting time (when unnecessary) is just not smart!
Regarding this type of work at home business, it’s incredibly fun, quick, and easy to figure out. What you’re going to want to do is pick a niche that is popular, not over popular and not under popular, and then you are going to have to market said product to targeted consumers. A lot of people think, oh hey I can buy 5 million visits and that should get me a lot of sales. But as you will soon find out, it doesn’t. Instead, you receive 5 million viewers not interested in your product at all!
This will not make you money! This is a waste of time and money. Do it the right way. There are millions of people out there making great money from something like this. Its not reinventing the wheel. If you know of a person that has a niche and they sell like crazy, as for a few tips, if they don’t give you any, look online, there are tons of people online willing to help you. After all the Internet is called “The Information Super Highway” for a reason! Use it, love it, learn it! In our time, we know if you have a question about something, anything, simply turn on your comp, visit an SE, type the question out and in 2.3 seconds you have 3 million people answering your question!
These are obviously some pretty broad ways on how to make money from niche marketing but hopefully I paved the way for you and at least got you a little interested in this process! The more I read about this and the more I write about it and learn about it, the more curious I get. In fact, who knows, maybe some day soon we will make our millions from this, see you at the top!
